DEAR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES

It is a great pleasure and honor for the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center to welcome all of you to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for The Fifth International Congress for Advanced Cardiac Sciences(King of Organs 2019). This unique, magnificent scientific event is heralding the onset of our second decade of the world of King of Organs and its famous scientific theme”Heart Sciences from Genes to Galaxies.” This hasprogressively evolved over the last four congresses to culminate in this event, which explains the global and universal role of the human heart. We have been calling for a revolution in the practice of cardiac sciences and a recognition that the heart is not merely a pump, but a supreme master organ that controls our emotional, spiritual, and physical health. As will be demonstrated, its magnetic field, which is 5,000 times more powerful than the brain’s, can interact and influence others in close proximity, as well as geomagnetic and solar forces.Another top priority of this event will be exploring the role of cellular pathways in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease, especially with respect tothe unappreciated role of homocysteine. This will be discussed in a presentation dealing with the SAHACT (Saudi Arabian Homocysteine Atherosclerosis And Cancer Trial) that is now underway to prevent these and other deadly diseases. In addition, we will update our progress in the genetic and environmental risk factors in congenital heart disease project that is also being conducted under the aegis of the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center. We will devote the final day to a discussion of advances in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary heart disease, novel theories about its cause, such as the role of inflammation and coagulation, and the consequences of such efforts. There will be six parallel workshops to provide more information and hands on experience for specific topics.  These cutting edge and state of the art presentations will not be a repetition or regurgitation of current conventional thinking or entrenched dogma, since, as the Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman noted:”I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned” and “I learned very early the difference between knowing the name of something and knowing something.”

YOURS ALL,
